Justin is a lifelong Wyoming conservative, farmer, business owner, and community leader from Pine Bluffs. He graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in 1990 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wyoming in 1995.

After college, Fornstrom returned home to build a career in agriculture alongside his brother, growing their operation into a diversified business that includes commercial ventures serving the local community. With more than 30 years of experience, he understands the critical role agriculture plays in Wyoming’s economy and the importance of responsive government and a strong workforce.

Fornstrom has also been a dedicated community leader. He served 16 years on the Laramie County Fire District #5 Board, much of that time as President, and was elected Mayor of Pine Bluffs in 2021, winning reelection in 2024. As mayor, he oversaw town operations, budgeting, and infrastructure development, including major projects that support local growth and economic opportunity.

He is focused on delivering practical, conservative results for the district. During the Legislative Session, he worked to advance a fiscally responsible biennial budget, stood up for Wyoming’s agricultural sector and the protection of its vital water resources, and tackled challenges in the energy sector by supporting key industries like oil and gas, coal, trona, and uranium, while also promoting economic growth and new manufacturing opportunities.

He and his wife, Kara, live in Pine Bluffs with their daughter, Keefer.
